Employees Outside
The company employs about 80 individuals and operates out of a 20,000 square foot facility. All departments work together to exceed customer expectations and to produce quality circuits.
Thin Film Sputtering
Filtran's unique Blind Hole Sputtering technique is highly recognized for its capability to produce reliable PTFE substrates. FMI uses two of its five systems for thin film sputtering on ceramics.

Boardroom Planning Session
This is a familiar scene at Filtran Microcircuits. Planning sessions are held regularly to maintain a high level of quality and to ensure customer requirements are being met.
Chemical Lab
Chemical analysis is routinely performed to maintain various plating baths' peak efficiency throughout the operation.
Optical Measuring System
The OPTEK system digitally measures circuit spacing and features. Experienced QC inspectors and systems contribute to FMI's reputation for producing high quality precision microwave circuits.
Microsection Inspection
Microsections are produced and inspected in-house. The photo shows a quality inspector using a metallurgical microscope to measure plating thickness in a plated through hole.

Gold Plating Line
The Gold plating line is designed to plate very pure, soft gold onto high resolution circuits. FMI produces thousands of circuits daily that must meet stringent wire bonding requirements.

Scheduling/Planning Meeting
Meetings such as this are held weekly for each customer to ensure all processes are running smoothly and on schedule.
CAD/CAM Editing System
Data from customers is received over modem, e-mail, or on diskette. Files are edited in CAD for the production of artwork and in CAM for the programming of CNC driller/routers and milling machines.
