What does Filtran need to make a quotation? 

Send a file by e-mail to cad@filtranmicro.com, or fax a drawing to Filtran complete with the following information:

  • a dimensioned drawing of the circuit showing the smallest circuit features (lines and spaces)
  • board material
  • etching and machining tolerances
  • required plating finishes
  • overall size of board
  • relevant specifications (military or commercial)
  • quality requirements
  • delivery
  • contact name

What Quality system do you have in place? 

  • Filtran Microcircuits Inc. is ISO 9001:2000 certified
  • In the past, we have been audited to MIL-I-45208 by our Canadian and U.S. customers

Does Filtran Microcircuits work in accordance to certain specifications? 

  • MIL-P-55110, IPC-HF-318 or IPC-RB-276 requirements
  • Customers are asked to place their preferences on a master drawing along with any additional requirements

What are Precision Microwave Circuits? 

  • Precision Microwave Circuits are produced using teflon-based materials and sputtered thin films on ceramic substrates
  • Frequencies 1-100 GHz
  • Features are often 5 mils or less in size, requiring tight tolerances

Do you use a Sodium etchant or Plasma etching? 

  • To allow for reliable Plated Through Holes, Filtran uses its own proprietary Sodium-based etchant

How are products delivered? 

  • Filtran uses the services of FedEx, UPS, or Purolator, delivery overnight
  • Next day delivery can be provided by fedEx, UPS or Purolator

Does Filtran stock materials? 

  • Filtran stocks a wide range of microwave materials to allow for efficient delivery schedules
  • There is over $150,000 of inventory at Filtran

Are all operations performed in-house? 

  • All operations are performed in-house including laser machining

Is Filtran involved in small volume prototyping or high volume production? 

  • Filtran provides both of these services

Filtran's technical staff work together with customers to design for manufacturability during prototyping phases.
